Do you love sweet, syrupy, buttery baklava but only get to savour it while on holiday? Have no idea where to find this delicious dessert and would like to discover how to make it yourself? Then this masterclass is perfect for you!

We’re very excited to be teaming up with Lucy Panou from Greedy Greco to bring you the ultimate workshop. Prepare and bake baklava in 2 unique flavours: chocolate & pistachio and rose & walnut.

This specialist masterclass is a hands-on experience where you will learn how to make baklava the traditional Greek way, but with a contemporary twist.

We’re kicking off with morning coffee (Greek, of course), and baklava which we will have already prepared for you to try before you bake, and a discussion about where baklava is really from- why do Anatolian desserts hold such a prominent position in Greek cuisine?

Then we’re heading into the kitchen to begin our step-by-step baklava baking journey: bubbling sugar with thyme honey, bashing Aegina pistachios and layering filo pastry with melted butter. You will learn two techniques: baklava and saragli.

Whilst our baklava bakes, we will take a light lunch break- an assortment of Greek cheeses, olives, antipasti and wine. At the end of the workshop, you will leave with 2 trays of your very own baklava (we will pack it in special boxes for you) to take home plus recipe cards to recreate what you’ve learned at home, and a 10% discount voucher for Oliveology’s products.

Workshop with Lucy Panou from Greedy Greco

Lucy, born to a Greek father and British mother, grew up on a tiny Greek island called Spetses. Experiencing food from two very different cultures, Lucy came to the realisation that traditional elements can collide with more contemporary twists to create unique moments. Lucy launched her baby, Greedy Greco, as a champion of food that brings people together, helping them to reconnect both with themselves and with others at the dining table. Lucy spends most of her time between Spetses and London developing recipes and products, running private cooking classes and catering for events with Greedy Greco.

Cancellation policy:

A minimum of 4 weeks notice is required for cancellation so we can fill your space. You will be given a full refund or we can transfer you to another date. However, no refunds or changes can be made if cancellations are changed in less than four weeks. However, you have the option to give your ticket to a friend or family member.
