Konstantinos

Konstantinos supplies all of our pistachios. He comes from the island of Aegina, an island famous for its pistachio trees – their pink and green nuts now carry a PDO status. On the island there are many feasts around what Konstantinos calls “the king of nuts”, signifying their importance in local culture.

Raised around his father’s pistachio trees, he shares how from a young age he realised he wanted to work with pistachios and create his business. His dream was to share his love for pistachios with the world and offer the opportunity to taste them to more and more people .

“I love pistachios,” he says, but also admits that pistachio trees require a lot of work and care. His annual production of 10 tons doesn’t come easy; rain or snow may ruin the crop. Everything is done by hand, he says, and explains how they pick pistachios and place them in large sacks, often under the scorching Greek sun at the end of the summer.

What is it that he enjoys most about his work? “Creating,” he says—and happy customers. “I’m always happy when someone comes back and tells me how much they enjoyed my pistachios”.
