Cooking workshop for kids by Oliveology and Amaryllis from The Tasty Other
Would you like to introduce your children to a different cuisine? To teach them how to use the best quality ingredients and create food from scratch? How about inspire them to make dishes that are easy, healthy and absolutely delicious?
In collaboration with educator, food photographer and stylist Amaryllis Tsegou of The Tasty Other, we are presenting our first cooking workshop for children. Take a walk around Borough Market, shop and enjoy a nice relaxing day, while we take care of your little ones, introducing them to delicious, healthy foods and to the joy of cooking!
Amaryllis has organised and taught many cooking classes both in London and Athens and is passionate about introducing children to the fascinating world of food and the beauty of creating delicious dishes with simple, healthy ingredients.
Based on star ingredients from Oliveology and autumn vegetables and fruit, Amaryllis has put together a menu which combines favourite children’s recipes with new ideas, all inspired by Oliveology’s philosophy and passion for unique, limited number products, harvested with traditional methods.
The workshop includes learning basic cooking skills, tasting ingredients and participating in every step, from prepping ingredients to cooking and plating. And of course, the recipes, so that our little cooks can practice what they’ve learned at home too. At the end of the workshop we all sit around the table and share the food we’ve made!

Workshop with Amaryllis Tsegou
Amaryllis is from Athens, Greece, but has been based in London since 2006. After completing a PhD in Dance Anthropology, she started her personal blog The Tasty Other, which explored her love of food, fascination with tradition and gatherings and curiosity about photography. Soon after, she started collaborating with other creatives and brands as a photographer, stylist and recipe developer. At the same time, using her background in education, she also organised and taught food & photography workshops for children & adults both in London and abroad.

Dietary requirements:
Our menus are seasonal and change often. If you have specific dietary requirements please contact us before booking to ensure our menu can accommodate your needs.
All dietary requirements need to be confirmed at least two weeks prior to the workshop. As our menus are finalised after that, we will do our best but cannot guarantee that we can accommodate any dietary requirements less than two weeks prior to the workshop.
Our workshops are hosted at Borough Market cookhouse. As this is a shared kitchen space we cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment.
Cancellation policy:
In case you have to cancel or change your booking, we would need a minimum of four weeks’ notice. In that case we will refund you for the full amount or transfer your booking to another date.
If you have to cancel or change your booking less than four weeks in advance then we will unfortunately not be able to refund or change your booking. You can of course offer your space to a friend, ensuring you have informed us of any dietary requirements as soon as possible, so as to make sure we can accommodate them.
If we have to cancel a workshop, then we will offer you a full refund or if you prefer we will transfer your amount to one of our other workshops.
