About Carolina

Carolina Doriti, a celebrated chef and cookbook author, was born in Greece. In 1997, she moved to the UK, where she earned a BA from the University of Sussex and an MA from Goldsmiths in London.

Carolina’s passion for cooking began at an early age. For her, cooking is not just a skill but an art form, a meditation practice, and a heartfelt way to nourish and express love. Since 2005, she has worked as a chef and restaurant consultant, while also hosting culinary retreats across Greece.

In addition to her hands-on culinary work, Carolina writes about food and shares her recipes in both Greek and international publications. She also serves as the Culinary Producer for My Greek Table, a PBS TV series showcasing Greek gastronomy, which airs across the US and Canada and is available on Amazon Prime. Her expertise has earned her appearances on various international cooking and food-related television shows. Carolina also offers both live and virtual cooking classes and workshops.

She is the author of two cookbooks: Salt of the Earth: Secrets and Stories from a Greek Kitchen (Quadrille, 2023) and the recently published The Greek Islands Cookbook (Murdoch, 2025).

As a professional chef, curator, and food historian, Carolina’s work spans a wide range of culinary expertise. She is passionate about exploring new ingredients and innovative ways to use them. With her extensive knowledge of Greek cuisine, regional recipes, and food traditions, Carolina’s dishes are a delightful blend of simplicity, complexity, and cultural depth — always rich in flavor and tradition.
