Olive Oil with Apples, Walnuts, Cinnamon, Honey & Sage



This special reserve olive oil is individually numbered and made by pressing olives, apples, walnuts, cinnamon, honey, and sage together. This nutritious oil brings a complex and harmonious set of flavours to fresh fruit or vegetables, and to any cooked dishes. It is great with seafood, lobster, crab, monkfish and can also be used as a stand alone dressing for a summer or winter salad. It is perfect drizzled on cakes, desserts, or porridge!


Product Description

This complex mix of ingredients has been particularly difficult to balance. Specifically, the evoo & honey must be gently persuaded to become bed-fellows. All of the ingredients are added at the time of pressing, and thus crushed with the olives. This oil is not infused.

Tasting this oil is like a revelation. Its bouquet is floral with lingering apple tones. First, the sweetness of semi-ripe Koroneiki olives, apples and honey with a hint of cinnamon that crescendos on swallowing. This is when the sage kicks in with a slightly nutty quality to finish. None of the ingredients are overpowering, each in their own way contribute perfectly to this exceptional evoo.

Particularly good with seafood. Specifically; lobster, tiger prawns, scallops, crab, crayfish, monkfish, swordfish. Drizzle over the dish once cooked, so not to waste any of this golden ambrosia! Secret tip: Try drizzled over your favourite dessert for an unusual treat.
