We are moving to a new Warehouse at Spa Terminus!

We often think of change as a new beginning: a new space, a new relationship, a new job. But change is as much about moving forward, as it is about all those things we choose to leave behind. The parts of our identity that we need to let go as we grow, evolve and move in a new direction.

Over the last few years, I have been on a path of change. I wanted to let go of parts of my old self. I wanted to grow. I wanted Oliveology to change with me, to evolve into a fully sustainable food business.

Talking to many of you at the shop, via email and on our social media made me realise that I am not alone in my dreams for a food future filled with small food businesses that make and share real, accessible food. My dream has always been to create a food business that will be able to give back to the local communities in Greece, to support the environment, to offer foods that will nourish our bodies and minds, to inspire us to spend more time together around the table, be it sharing a home-cooked meal, or a swiftly put-together meze platter.

Change isn’t easy, it takes a lot of work to acknowledge what is needed in order to refocus, to remember why we started it all; to rediscover the things that matter at our core, and move beyond the mental (and physical!) clutter to be inspired again and find our passion. A passion that sometimes I felt was lost in the more mundane daily tasks, in the financial stress of surviving, in the daily hard work that it takes to run a small business. We have now cleaned up our product portfolio, and now offer only real ingredients. Almost always organic. Always crafted with passion and care for the local communities and the environment.

Letting go of the noise of the past means embracing a new future. Oliveology’s future now lies in a new warehouse space. We will still be at Spa Terminus, right next to some exciting food businesses -yes, it’s the perfect spot for your Saturday walk! We are opposite The little Bread Pedlar, Smoke & Cure and next to Gimlet, just where Wild Room used to be. Spa Terminus was always a space filled with light, laughter and amazing food. But this part of the railway arches is truly unique.

We loved being at our old railway arch, cooking in its big, bright kitchen, hosting dinners and cooking workshops. This new space gives us the motivation we needed to let go of all those things that kept us busy, and away from our passion, to be closer to many of you and to plan many more new, exciting things. It allows us to focus more on the ingredients that we missed, that were nostalgic of when we started; the ingredients that felt and tasted like home. It allows us to plan more tastings and private olive oil events. To create more olive-oil-based recipes and to share more Greek food traditions and Greek culture. To continue our dinners and events, but now in partnership with local food businesses.

We couldn’t have done it so far without your support. We wouldn’t be here without our community. And for that, we thank you. We hope this new space will bring us closer to our community and we look forward to welcoming you all in our new unit this Saturday 21st of March for a soft opening celebrating the start of our new journey and the beginning of Spring!
