Greek Spearmint

Organic and wild, this ground spearmint (Δυόσμος; Mentha spicata) is hand picked in the mountains of Epirus, North West Greece. Spearmint is the cousin of common mint and a favourite herb in Greek cooking. It is widely used in tomato-based sauces, and as a flavouring to ground meat as in the Greek meatballs keftedes. As a herbal tea it is very aromatic and helps with digestion.
